This service is geared to assist a physician who wants to get his/her practice started. AER Consulting, Inc. can assist these physicians in their practice start up. This service involves all aspects of practice development and includes finding a location and negotiating a lease; contacting, applying, negotiating with managed care plans to become a participating provider, applying to Medicare, Medicaid, Champus, and other health care companies; researching, reviewing and securing bids for computer services, telephone equipment, ancillary equipment; recruiting, interviewing and hiring personnel; preparing the organizational structure, job descriptions, general office procedures, personnel manual; assisting in securing an attorney, CPA, insurance agents, etc.

PRACTICE ASSESSMENTS:

Established practices often find that they are not practicing at top efficiency. Often an assessment of the practice is in order. The assessment can be as comprehensive and detailed as reviewing all aspects of the practice from Operations (patient, paper, medical records and telephone flow to accounts receivable analysis to personnel staffing; or as focused as looking at coding, documentation and receivables. The assessment is performed and a detailed report to the owners of the practice is presented with specific recommendations for implementation. The implementation can be performed by the owners and management of the practice or the practice can contract with AER Consulting, Inc. to implement the recommendations.
